Review: Corsair Void Wireless V2 Gaming Headset

Product Provided By Manufacturer

Price – $119.99

Corsair is known as one of the leading developers and manufacturers of high-performance gear and technology for gamers, and they have just released a brand-new headset. The Corsair Void Wireless V2 Gaming Headset has been officially released, and we have been using it for several weeks before its release.

Let’s start by diving into some of the standout features the Corsair Void Wireless V2 Gaming Headset brings to the table. It supports Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio for immersive sound, offers ultra-fast 2.4GHz wireless connectivity, and includes Bluetooth for added flexibility—allowing you to switch between connections with just a single button press.

On top of that, it boasts a long-lasting battery, clear voice communication, customizable audio and RGB lighting, and dual wireless support, giving you plenty of options for both performance and personalization.

Platforms Supported

The Corsair Void Wireless V2 Gaming Headset offers broad compatibility across a range of platforms, including PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, and most mobile devices that support USB or Bluetooth connectivity. This makes it a versatile option for gamers who play across different systems. However, it’s worth noting that the headset is not compatible with Xbox consoles, which is a bit of a letdown for Xbox users looking for a wireless solution in this price range.

Comfortability

One of Corsair’s goals with the Void Wireless V2 was to enhance headset comfort. In this aspect, Corsair excels; the Void Wireless V2 is indeed comfortable for extended use. However, it doesn’t quite match the Virtuoso Max that we reviewed, but that’s to be expected with its value.

The headband is adjustable to ensure a proper fit, and the overall build quality is commendable, with a nice cushion. While the ear cups are made with memory foam, they can start to feel a bit itchy after extended use. Additionally, their shape may interfere with overall comfort during long gaming sessions.

Performance

When you’re spending $120, you’re expecting a strong audio performance, and the Dolby Atmos feature delivers on that. While not every game takes advantage of it, titles like Helldivers 2 and Halo Infinite really shine with Atmos enabled. For example, when I played Final Fantasy 16 on my PlayStation 5, I noticed that the audio quality was weaker compared to games with Dolby Atmos support. Without it, the headset still offers decent, standard audio, though it’s not quite as immersive.

The microphone quality is about what you’d expect—nothing exceptional, but solid for casual use. It’s not something you’d want to rely on for recording content or streaming, but for chatting with friends or coordinating with teammates, it gets the job done without any issues.

The battery life is to kill for. It has lasted me a couple of weeks before I had to charge it. And now this is on a more limited gaming experience. I’d only play a few hours a day. However, the battery life is approximately 65 hours, which is more than enough for most gamers. This and the audio quality is where the headset shines.

Software Impressions

The Void Wireless V2 Gaming Headset can, of course, connect to the iCue Software that Corsair uses for a variety of its products. The software features and customization options look a little limited compared to what I’ve seen in the past.

There are several customization options available, including subtle lighting effects and an equalizer to balance the sound levels. Additionally, you can assign keys to functions like muting your headset and using push-to-talk. The best part is that it is compatible with Voicemod.

I am not overly crazy about the software for the Corsair Void Wireless V2, but at least there is something there to offer customers.

Verdict – Should You Buy It?

The Corsair Void Wireless V2 may not top the charts of wireless gaming headsets, but it brings some real highlights to the table. The standout is undoubtedly its Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio, which delivers an impressively immersive experience. It’s a headset built with durability and sound quality in mind—two things Corsair clearly prioritized. While the ear cups could be more comfortable for marathon sessions, this is still a solid option worth considering.
