Stretching back a few months to the second Ubisoft Forward installment, the same-named publisher showcased more enticing announcements as its planed roster of games are set to release in 2021. Among exciting properties like Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, one wildcard announcement grabbed fans – Riders Republic. While not directly like Steep, developer Ubisoft Annecy is behind the project.

At the time of the announcement, only a CGI trailer was featured for the game. However, the title expands well beyond the snow sports featured in the team’s previous release. Most obvious was the larger player lobbies with more intense player activities that the developer promised to arrive in 2021.

But now, the team issues a statement in regards to Riders Republic. In that, the title is now receiving a delay as the release date is now framed to arrive in late 2021.

“We promised an action-packed outdoor sports park, filled with all-out mass races with more than 50 fellow Riders on next-gen consoles, a variety of diverse activities, and insane stunts,” the firm wrote in the letterhead. “We can’t wait to have you traverse our vibrant world and live out your own Rider’s fantasy.

“Today, we want to let you know that we have made the decision to move our release to later this year. This additional time will allow our passionate team to deliver the best fun fueled experience to our players.”

To lighten the news with another Ubisoft announcement, Massive Entertainment is reported to be working on a new Star Wars game. The Division developer is partnering with Lucasfilms Games on a open-world experience. You can read the full report by heading here.
