Baldur’s Gate 3 has been talked about as being one of the best games of 2023 with its release on PC in August and on PlayStation 5 in September. The big discussion about Baldur’s Gate 3 has been the Xbox Series X and Series S port and why it hasn’t launched on the platform yet. The big technical issue was split-screen co-op for Xbox Series S and that was the big reason it was being held back.
During Gamescom 2023, Swen Vincke of Larian Studios had a meeting with Phil Spencer to find a solution that would allow them to bring Baldur’s Gate 3 to Xbox by the end of the year.
A new report has come out suggesting that Baldur’s Gate 3 will come to Xbox Series XlS on December 6, 2023. This is according to sources close to Exputer who believe the RPG will arrive in early December.
“This is still an expected release date, and the contacts whom I cross-checked with all confirm that December 6 is what Larian Studios has targeted for now.
The only way for Baldur’s Gate 3 to see a release beyond December is if the playtests experience something critical that would need to be addressed. The outlet confirms the studio is performing playtests for the Xbox port.
