When it comes to Horizon Zero Dawn developer Guerilla Games, the Amsterdam-based studio since the release of the Frozen Wilds expansion for the title in 2017 has practically fell off the face of the Earth concerning the team’s next title on the way. Although voice actress Janina Gavankar did slip her knowledge of a potential sequel last year, word on this alleged follow-up has yet to surface since then.
However, it looks that despite the game yet to receive any form of content following the initial installment, some tangible information might have been released through the cracks of video game leaks. According to Digital Pivot 360 Sales Executive Callum Hurley, he shares to have heard of a new VR title in the works on the “Horizon”; said to be in development under Sony Interactive Entertainment London Studio, but confirming for either PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 could not be guaranteed.
Was recently made aware of a very exciting new PlayStation VR game coming out of London Studio. Not sure whether it'll be for PS4, PS5 or both, but it's really exciting, and an announcement could be on the Horizon…

Users who picked up the tweet could instantly connect the pieces of what Hurley implied with his emphasis on ‘horizon’ in the tweet. After collecting some watching eyes from the media, Hurley went on to clarify that he did not see the game himself upon learning the information. And to make things more reassuring, he is confident with the source he received this detail from. “I trust the person who told me about it.”
More on the information that this unannounced project would be handled through the team behind a handful of PlayStation Portable titles and PlayStation VR launch title VR Worlds, this would give the implication that the game would not be a direct installment for the series, but rather a canon spinoff for players thirsty for the next mainline title in the unrevealed future.
And for a little more fun, Hurley did respond to one tweet about his intentional capitalization of the ‘H’ on horizon in his tweet, if you needed anymore convincing on what he might have implied when initially tweeting.
