2022 is just about concluded at this point and it looks like we could expect news on the long awaited Metroid Prime Remaster for the Nintendo Switch and possibly a new F-Zero game. According to insider and podcaster, NateTheHate, F-Zero’s time will come in 2023.
Nate along with the F-Zero statement also said on ResetEra that Metroid Prime 1 remake/remaster is ready to go as the game completed development in 2021.
“As for Metroid Prime 1… Retro completed development of the game in late summer of 2021 (for clarity: development finished then — it still had to go through QA, any localization, and such). The game has been finished for some time now. Nintendo just opted to wait to announce and bring it to market, for whatever reason.”
There was also indication that news is coming regarding the Metroid Prime Remaster from user Spheromancer on Reddit. The user in the past claimed he received messages regarding WarioWare: Get It Together and Splatoon 3 basically hinting they were coming in the next direct.
Most recently he received a message from this mysterious Reddit user saying “”Do you think everyone is primed and ready?”
“If you read through his comments you can see his creative leaking of Skyward Sword, Waroi Ware, and Splatoon 3 before they were announced in an upcoming direct.
3 months ago, the day before Nintendo’s most recent direct, he DM’d me “Zelda fans will be crying Tears of joy tomorrow.” before the Zelda title was even revealed.
Today he messaged me “Do you think everyone is primed and ready?”
At this point it’s believable that the Metroid Prime Remakes is happening since the trilogy has been seen listed on retailers sites three years ago and it’s been rumored all of 2022 that it was going to come soon. When it comes to F-Zero it would be hard to believe that there would be a new game or even a remaster.
Like always we have to take these leaks with a grain of salt until it actually happens.
Could 2023 be a big year for Metroid fans?
