In an odd universe we currently live in, we already witnessed the sudden announcement that developer Volition made which revealed that 2011’s Saint’s Row: The Third would be receiving a Nintendo Switch version which later released this past May. However, it looks that the team still wants to bring more endeavors from the action-centered series.
Earlier this week, the game development studio announced that the succeeding Saints Row IV: Re-Elected will be arriving to the Nintendo eShop with a release date slated for next month. You can watch the reveal trailer below:
The fourth entry of the Saint’s Row series stood out to be the most outlandish and absurd when in contrast to the inaugural street gang-focused experience and follow suit with the sequel Saint’s Row 2. Stripping the player from even the crime syndicate aspect of the third game as you are now the President of the United States – until outer space land on Earth and swiftly inhabit their newly conquered world.
Alike the titular Re-Elected iteration on other platforms, this version of the game will include all downloadable content that shipped to the game since its initial release. Including story add-ons such as Enter the Dominatrix and How the Saints Save Christmas. Also reinstating the game’s presence on competing hardware, it would be a good guess that the attached Saint’s Row: Gat out of Hell could be the next candidate for Nintendo’s console next from Volition.
While fans of the series now have something to do on Nintendo Switch, it should be noted that Volition has been confirmed to be developing a fifth installment for Saint’s Row. You can read the full report by heading here.
