Speaking of specifically is the panel that was hosted this weekend which puts the spotlight on Hideo Kojima’s November-slated Death Stranding.
Kojima himself alongside him with film director Nicolas Winding hosted the panel and discussed the comings of the game surrounding the choice for the plot’s narrative as well as sharing their inspiration for the coming cinematic adventure. The show even previewed some gameplay that showcases Winding’s character Heartman and gave context for how the role plays into part with the protagonist.
At one point during the event, the two revealed what the box art will look like for both the base game as well as the Special Edition and Collector’s Edition steelbook also. You can view the two below:
The two covers both feature Norman Reedus’ character Sam Bridges: the original posing Bridges in the iconic “porter” suit whilst the second strips the hood from the character as he’s drenched in mud covering most of his face.
In other related news at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel showed off the demo for Marvel’s Avengers behind closed doors to attendees of the Marvel Gaming panel, however, the gameplay was leaked through two videos from viewers at the event. Marvel later announced that a reworked demo will be revealed in the week following next month’s Gamescom.
