Prior to the release of the Xbox Series X – and before the Xbox Series S was even a thing – Microsoft held a presentation to showcase what titles are being developed solely for the upcoming powerhouse console. Amongst those was Ebb Software’s Scorn: the game was in active development for PC already and the highly graphic and detailed project received Xbox Series X support at the time.
Now more than two years since that initial announcement, Ebb Software returns with an update on Scorn. The game is scheduled to release for Xbox Series X|S & PC later this holiday ahead of Halloween. You can watch the release date trailer in the video below:
“You awaken in the middle of a desolate and decayed hellscape; a once industrious civilization now lay in ruin. Surrounded by nightmarish, biomechanical contraptions, you must explore your environment to progress. Your nightmare is about to begin…” the description for the video reads as a synopsis.
In terms of other partnered projects on the horizon for Xbox Series X|S, developer Interior/Night is close to releasing its project, As Dusk Falls. Revealed last year, the game brings narrative to a unique use of story-telling with a mix of still images and animation. The title is arriving July 19th next month.
