While owners on PC were already getting adjusted to the new sand-blanketed map of Karakin on PlayerUnkown’s Battlegrounds for well over a week now, Xbox One players can now do the same as Season 6 for the game has arrived today. Already aware of the debuting map that will be shipped with the new title update, there is also a handful of other additions that makes its way to the Xbox version today as well.
Dissecting what Karakin actually is does not have a lot to ground to cover, literally. This new location just north of Africa in the Mediterranean Sea is the smallest setting for the game to date. And while there is little to expand upon, that leaves plenty of room for chaos with how compact players will eventually feel when playing.
One new gameplay element introduced is the Black Zone: when in a purple-highlighted area of the map, a siren will sound and you will have a brief timeframe to relocate before you along with any nearby buildings will be brought down. This new feature will also mix up the formula to keep players on their feet in contrast to how other maps play out.
The addition of sticky bombs also make its debut with update 6.1 also. Being self-explanatory, you simply place the explosive where you desire and wait for any cornering foes to walk in the rigger radius and detonate the device. To mix up the flow of gameplay, look out for the newly introduced Motor Gliders.
As the vehicle sounds, it is a motorized machine which you can take to the skies. Equipped with one passenger seat, the new winged automobile gives unlimited freedom for your squad mate to use any weapon of their choosing to wreak havoc. While the vehicle is inaugurated through Karakin, it will also be available to access in Erangel, Mirmar, and Sanhok.
Are you hopping back onto PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds seeing this new update?
