Alike the Nintendo Online Service that offers an extended library of Nintendo Entertainment System titles for the current Nintendo Switch console, Sega as well offers its own lineup of retro titles for the same platform. Rather than through a subscription, each game is available through the ‘Sega Ages’ brand with a price tag of $7.99 a piece.

Today Sega announced that two new editions will be making its way to the current collection with 1991’s Payo Payo and Space Harrier.

As of writing this, there are eight titles to choose from for Sega Ages: Alex Kidd, Gain Ground, Lightening Force: Quest for the Darkstar, Out Run, Phantasy Star, Sonic the Hedgehog, Virtua Racing, and Wonder Boy: Monster Land. And now the two new additions making their way to Switch later this month, Sega continues to show their interest in the overall platform with porting nostalgic titles.

Back in October, an interview with Japanese developer M2 revealed that the studio is just steps away from full fledge emulation for the Sega Dreamcast library. The team specializing in emulation would bring a monumental addition to the present Switch storefront if managing to bring fan-favorite titles to the platform if achieved flawlessly.

Are there other games you would like to see be added to Sega Ages?

Puyo Puyo & Space Harrier will be available via Sega Ages for Nintendo Switch on August 22, 2019.
