Sega and RGG Studios held the RGG Summit where a new Like A Dragon game was announced. Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be released on February 28, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is an action-adventure game and not an RPG like recent titles in the series. It will star Goro Majima, in a story that will continue from Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Players will sail on the open sea and discover locations like Hawaii, Rich Island, and Madlantis. There will also be other secrets to discover says RGG.

“For the first time, Goro Majima is the sole protagonist in this game,” producer Ryosuke Horii said during the live stream. “The battle design is very different. It’s fast-paced, and it has a lot of Majima’s uniqueness. That’s what we aimed for.”

There will also be many mini-games for players in Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. More of that will be revealed in the coming months ahead of the game’s release.
