Previously, it was discovered that one of the actors in the upcoming title from Yakuza developer RGG Studios was arrested for possession of cocaine narcotics on March 13th. Following the reveal of the actor being in police custody, Sega immediately pulled the game from store shelves, leaving many fans anticipating the titles worried to when or if the title will ever drop following the incident.
Upon the news breaking at the time, Sega did not discuss how this will apply to the game releasing in the West or if this short halt will only affect the title releasing in Japan.
Now just yesterday, Sega released a statement regarding Judgement’s situation for how this will influence the game’s release in the West. Sharing that the previous actor, Pierre Taki, will be replaced and the game will still have its June 25th release date.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the character model and Japanese voice for the character of Kyohei Hamura will be adjusted for the Western release of Judgment, launching on June 25, 2019.
