Gamescom is one of the next big events for video game fans and there has already been news regarding some of the exhibitors. It was already announced that Xbox will have a huge presence at the show while PlayStation and Nintendo will skip the event. Today, it was announced by Gamescom on social media that Sega will be attending the show.
It’s possible that Sega still has some surprises for fans who will attend the event, but we do know that Sonic X Shadow Generations will likely be playable there. The new Sonic game featuring Shadow comes to all platforms on October 25. Gamescom could be an event where we will get a new trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 which comes to theaters on December 20.

It’s possible Sega could have a surprise game announcement at Gamescom Opening Night Live which usually goes down before the convention begins. There’s always the possibility of a classic remake of a Sega title or we could see more Like a Dragon or even Persona.
Gamescom 2024 will take place in Germany from August 21 – 25. We have a long way to get there and before we do, San Diego Comic Con is also happening very soon which could have more Sonic-related news.
