Serious Sam 4 Receives Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 Versions, Added To Xbox Game Pass

As of this year for the Serious Sam series, fans witnessed a myriad of events follow for the franchise alongside the future of the developer. Back in October last year, Devolver Digital announced to be acquiring Serious Sam studio Croteam. The firm has previously published all entries since its inception and further establishes a foundation for later entries in the series.

But it was this summer that Croteam went on to ship Serious Sam 4. And, it appears to be a well-awaited entry leveling expectations for fans of the IP. “Serious Sam 4 is an okay time. If you just want to load something up, turn your brain off and lay waste to a couple hundred enemies, this game will do that just fine,” critic David Rodriguez gave in his review for Serious Sam 4.

However, that game shipped without a dedicated adaptation for the latest Xbox & PlayStation hardware. But do not worry as Croteam this week ships the game for Xbox Series & PlayStation 5 systems. You can watch the launch trailer in the video below:

The classic Serious Sam formula is revamped by putting an unstoppable arsenal up against an unimaginable number of enemies that requires players to circle-strafe and backpedal-blast their way out of impossible situations.”

Notably from the announcement as well is that Xbox Game Pass users can welcome Serious Sam 4 to the service. This comes at a good time alongside the addition of Halo Infinite and other entries mapped out for December 2021 in the latest roadmap. You can read the full report by heading here.
