Fans that have been following the half-genie hero’s social media is aware that the approaching fifth installment Shantae and the Seven Sirens is still on the way. Back in December, developer WayForward disclosed that due to additional time necessary for the game’s release, the game will be pushed into 2020. While the game in portion is available on Apple Arcade already, the second part is still being tweaked on as well.
In a recent announcement shared on Friday, the American game studio revealed in a new teaser trailer that Shantae’s next journey will officially be arriving this coming May. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
WayForward discloses that Apple Arcade users should be expecting a new update which will patch in the second portion of the game the same day of the announcement. The new client for the iOS version is said to also expect new improvements to the title which includes new areas, dungeons, refined touch controls, and enhanced character artwork for each sprite.
Regarding the console version for Shantae and the Seven Sirens, Waypoint went on to share pricing and tangible versions of the game. The latest entry is slated to be going for $29.99 and a physical version is said to be in the works with Limited Run Games which more details on the arrangement will be provided “at a later date.” It is expected that this will only apply to the Switch and PlayStation versions of the game.
Other niché additions that is implemented into the upcoming platformer is 4K support for machines that can render the higher resolution outputs. The game is also said to feature fuly animated cutscenes that you will view throughout the course of the game all orchestrated by Studio Trigger.
