In a recent interview with IGN, Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared that certain models of Tesla cars will soon be able to play Studio MDHR’s 2017 run and gun Cuphead. Musk sharing that the Tesla 3, S, and X are some of the supported vehicles to play the visually pleasing yet evidently difficult title in the coming future.

The CEO shares that the game has already been tested on the named models and already has the game running “nice and clean”, thanks to the help from the title’s studio.

“Cuphead, we’ve got working,” Musk shared with IGN. “[The developers] have been helping us make it work. It’s a cool game”

Studio MDHR’s Maja Moldenhauer told IGN’s Ryan McCaffery that Tesla approached the team about bringing the game to Mosk’s brand of vehicles. The only exception on the deal between the two is that the game would have to run at a flawless framerate with no hiccups or slipping frames, and it seems the team managed to do that.

Moldenhauer also shared that the title, however, unlike other games that can be played directly from the vehicle’s touch screen would require a USB controller to control. The CEO shared that there are plans to add steering wheel buttons along with support for both Xbox and PlayStation controllers in the future.

If you haven’t played Cuphead since the game’s debut back in 2017, you should read up on our review for the title here.

Cuphead is out now for Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
