In the midst of players still awaiting to learn more of the upcoming PlayStation 5 console, Sony Interactive Entertainment ensures that details will not be coming this week. In a new announcement today, the firm shares that players can expect a Ghost of Tsushima-decorated State of Play live presentation, but information regarding the next-generation system will be absent later this week.

The company announces that the July-slated title from Sucker Punch Productions will be showcased with its own respected feature this coming Thursday, May 14.

In the blog post, Sony Interactive Entertainment Senior Director of Content Communications Sid Shuman told that the upcoming showcase will offer roughly 20 minutes of gameplay during the livestream later this week. However, he then goes to elaborate that new details for the platform’s next iteration will be withheld during the show for this Thursday.

“And just to be clear — there won’t be any PS5 news or updates in this episode, just a big, beautiful look at Sucker Punch’s PS4 open-world epic.“ With the amount of involvement Sony has offered as of recent due to the ongoing pandemic, the State of Play surely is exciting for followers eager to see the next addition to the closing PlayStation 4. Last month, Sony Interactive Entertainment shared that the Feudal Japan-set game would be pushed a few weeks into July from its initial June 28th scheduled launch.

Although fans who are still on the edge of their eat for news on the approaching PlayStation 5, there does happen to be some details that surfaced elsewhere. According to job listings uncovered earlier today, the PlayStation 5 is said to be aimed for an October release. This follows a previous reiteration made by Sony confirming the system will be releasing later on this holiday season; which you can read by heading here.

Are you planning on catching the latest State of Play later this week?

Ghost of Tsushima is scheduled to release on July 17, 2020 for PlayStation 4.
