The financial results for every major company are starting to come out and as we’ve seen with Nintendo they have sold over 132 Million Switch consoles. Sony has revealed its recent results sharing the number of sales for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 already hitting over 5 Million units and the amount of PlayStation 5 consoles sold.

The PlayStation 5 has now sold 46.6 Million units worldwide making it 4.9M units shipped during the latest quarter. Sony still remains confident of their target of 25 million PS5s sold during this financial year and confessed it will be difficult, but has hopes for a large Holiday season. They would need to sell 16.8M PlayStation 5 consoles in Q3 and Q4 to reach that goal.

With the new PlayStation 5 model coming out and the PlayStation Portal, Sony remains confident that this will help them reach their goal.
