From the massive armory of properties that are shipped from Sony Interactive Entertainment and its network of first-party studios, that is not the only set of hands involved in the production for the respected game’s development. Additionally, secondary teams assist in supporting the development occasionally for these massive, AAA projects.
In the past, God of War developer Santa Monica Studio remarked on the efforts by itself alongside Valkyrie Entertainment on the 2018 release. Later on, it was then disclosed back in September that the team will be returning to assist with the development for God of War Ragnarok. But now, the studio is entering the PlayStation family in a recent announcement.
From PlayStation Studios Head Hermen Hulst, he announces that Valkyrie Entertainment is the next in the line of acquired teams to be joining Sony Interactive Entertainment.
When hovering over the Valkyrie Entertainment website, the team hinted at the possibility with a ‘coming soon’ tab directing you to a photo of the logos for both itself and PlayStation Studios. Of course, development is to resume for God of War: Ragnarok with both Santa Monica Studio & Valkyrie Entertainment for its presumed release in 2022.
Upon other major purchases from Sony Interactive Entertainment recently, the PlayStation firm reveals it has officially bought Bluepoint Games. The team is most notable for its entries such as Demon’s Souls for PlayStation 5, Shadow of the Colossus, and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. You can read the full report by heading here.
Are you glad that Valkyrie Entertainment is officially an internal PlayStation team?
