In the long hopes of Sony Interactive Entertainment to welcome backwards compatibility to the latest PlayStation, PlayStation 5 welcomed native support for PlayStation 4 games finally. But other legacy PlayStation hardware was surprisingly absent as confirmed by President & CEO Jim Ryan. But, hope arose in other realms. From scattered reports, more support could come in the form of a newly improved PlayStation Plus.
From Bloomberg, this new project dubbed ‘Spartacus’ would bridge PlayStation Plus with PlayStation Now to include a library of titles similar to Xbox Game Pass. However, this new tiered service would also include legacy PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation 3 options – alike Nintendo Switch Online. Recently, pricing surfaced in a story from GameBeat asking for $16 a month at most.
On Tuesday, the PlayStation firm officially unveiled the new flexible options arriving to PlayStation Plus later this June.

At launch, we plan to include titles such as Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and Returnal.
