Followers of nearly an entire generation just for the approaching release of The Last of Us Part II, we are exactly one month away from the official launch of the sequel from Naughty Dog. And there’s no better way to get excited for the title than for a specialized bundle to celebrate the game’s long-awaited release. Sony revealed today a PlayStation 4 Pro bundle that is scheduled to ship next month alongside the follow-up to the 2013-released game.

Of course, other themed accessories are also subjected for release with the new decorated console which we will get to in this piece. Firstly, the new unit comes with the matte black finish as already expected with the standard PlayStation 4 Pro, but this bundle in particular will be edge with the design resembling Ellie’s tattoo that fans learn about during the initial reveal for The Last of Us Part II.

The bundle itself will also ship with a matching controller that also dons the same organic image on the right handle and the touch pad reading the title of game. The bundle is also told to ship with a physical copy of the game and include other in-game goodies that will require to be enter in via digital codes.

When the opportunity arose to create a custom PS4 Pro for The Last of Us Part II, I worked with our graphic designer at the time, Angel Garcia, and we considered a few different ideas, but we kept coming back to Ellie’s tattoo. By that point, it had become a symbol of the game and for the community–much like the Firefly logo in the first game. It was the clear choice, but we wondered: what if it could be engraved? It hadn’t been done before, so we weren’t sure it was even possible, but thanks to the incredible efforts of the teams at PlayStation, we found a way.

The bundle itself runs for $399.99 full price and the specialized controller can be picked up separately going for $65.99. Moving on to the other branded accessories, Sony tells that a ‘Limited Edition Gold Headset’ ($99.99) is also set to ship right next to the console. The same fern tattoo can be found on the inner meshing of the headset while the logo is sitting over the right headphone of the device.

Also partnering with Seagate, Sony unveils a new themed game drive for fans to pick up needing the extra space and to look cool doing it. The external hard drive capacity is 2 TB and will also read the name of the approaching title alongside feature Ellie’s tattoo on the front of the device. You can find the Limited Edition Last of Us Part II hard drive for $89.99.

Are you planning on looking into picking up the system or one of the listed accessories?

The Last of US Part II is scheduled to ship on June 19, 2020 for PlayStation 4.
