Sony Ships Its Newest PlayStation Now Lineup For September 2021 Today

Earlier on this year, a report went out indicating that the low user headcount over on PlayStation Now is the result for the lacking number of anticipated titles to keeps players subscribed to the monthly service. “Ampere Games consumer research indicates that a lack of enjoyable games is the most common reason why users churn from PlayStation’s cloud gaming and download subscription service, PS Now,” the report concluded with.

However, it does appear that Sony Interactive Entertainment is attempting to undo that damage with a string of additional games through publisher. Back in July, we witnessed this with the lineup of Sonic titles celebrating the series’ 35 years. And just last week, the PlayStation company announced the addition of one Final Fantasy game a month from now until January for PlayStation Now.

On Monday, Sony Interactive Entertainment has laid out the groundwork for September 2021’s PlayStation Now additions which you can read the full lineup below:

Final Fantasy VII
Killing Floor 2
Moonlighter

As it appears from the blog post, Sony Interactive Entertainment Senior Manager of Game Services Content Adam Michel indicates all but Tekken 7 will be permanent additions to PlayStation Plus starting on September 7th. In that, the Bandai Namco title is slated for the service until February 28, 2022 this coming winter.

Reiterating on the larger impact that PlayStation Now can make on attracting more users, a previous financial report from corporate Sony shares interest to integrate both Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Horizon Forbidden West to the service. You can read the full report by heading here.
