Developer and publisher Nekki has revealed a new trailer during the Twitch Galaxies showcase for the upcoming gun fu action game SPINE. The game is planned to be released on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. It was announced today that SPINE will also be targeting a Switch 2 launch.
A release date has not been mentioned yet. The developer announced the game has over 400K wishlists across all platforms.
The trailer showcased today was of SPINE’s Freeflow Gun Fu combat, which features the protagonist, Redline, who moves from enemy to enemy, parrying and disarming them, and turning their own weapons against them in seamless combos.
Players can creatively use the physical environment against Redline’s opponents – crushing enemies against surfaces, throwing them from ledges, and fighting back with makeshift melee weapons for truly cinematic combat sequences that are different every time.
The new trailer for SPINE also gave us a tease of its Hardcore mode.
“SPINE’s cinematic twist on ‘no-hit’ gameplay sees Redline wear sunglasses which will only remain intact if the player makes it through the game untouched by enemy attacks.”
Here are the Key Features for SPINE:
