Earlier this year, you could reflect on the current unique lineup of titles only available on Google-owned Stadia and not be overwhelmed. At the time, it was only Tequila Works’ Gylt that the cloud-based platform had to offer at the time. But it wasn’t until this past March that Google shared to be expanding its repertoire with other developers. In that, the firm shared to be partnering with multiplayer juggernaut Splash Damage on a new and unique experience.
At the time of reporting, what this new endeavor would be coming to Stadia later on was failed to be included in the announcement. But during today’s Stadia Connect livestreamed presentation, Google spared the new project – announcing Outcasters.
You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:
“Outcasters is a frantic, fast-paced, and highly competitive game set in a vibrant, colourful world,” the synopsis reads in the trailer’s description. “Up to 8 players will compete across different maps and game modes, using your curved shots, abilities, and pick ups to find creative ways to beat your enemies.”
Taken from the announcement today, there is still plenty left unsaid about Outcasters. Developer Splash Damage shares that more information on the project will be unveiled leading up to its release in autumn of this year. With fans unsure that to think, the team does reassure that this new title “is every inch a Splash Damage game!”
What is your opinion on Outcasters?
