During today’s Nintendo 2019 World Championships, the final Splatfest for Splatoon 2 was announced, Final Fest Splatocalypse. For the past two years, the game has received a number of these weekend long events in which players choose a team and compete to decide the winner. The final Splatfest theme is Chaos vs. Order. Representing Chaos will be Pearl, while Marina will lead team Order. A final Shifty Station stage will be available for this event, while all previous ones will also be present. This final Splatfest will be 72 hours long and take place on July 18 through the 21st.

In addition, version 5.0 will be released for the game allowing you to create private matches using the Splatfest Turf War settings on the Shifty Station stage with all forms available, including the new one. New gear will also be added for the final Splatfest. While this marks the end of Splatoon 2 DLC support, the servers will continue to remain online for years to come. It’s been a great two years of continued support for the title, and we should surely hear about a sequel somewhere down the line.
