Splatoon 3 is launching September 9, 2022

Splatoon 3 has been a highly anticipated release from Nintendo this year and today we have received an update that the game will be releasing September 9th, 2022. Originally we expected Splatoon 3 to be a July-August game as Splatoon 2 launched on July 21, 2017.

So we expected the tradition to continue for the Splatoon franchise as a pure Summer release. In February we knew that the release window would be ‘Summer 2022’ and that still stands true. With Xenoblade Chronicles 3 launching sooner than expected on July 29th of this year it was no surprise to know that Splatoon would be pushed a little bit further.

Along with this news Nintendo revealed the Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion DLC will now be part of the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack.
