Although many were questioning how Halo Infinite would deliver back in summer 2021, Splitgate: Arena Warfare swooped in to fill the gap that many players believed 343 Industries left vacant for nearly a decade. It was at the end of the season that the portal-equipped first-person shooter arrived and branched across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Additionally with cross-platform play also enabled brings users to one universal battleground. But looking ahead, 1047 Games told it will be far more advanced in terms of content than the series that inspired to make Splitgate. In a responding tweet, 1047 Games told that it will “have Forge Mode before Halo Infinite” when asked about the possibility.

Now, Beta Season 1 is here and it comes with new game modes alongside the promised map creator as well. You can watch the season 1 launch trailer in the video below:

With Evolution & One Flag Capture The Flag alongside the map creator also brings ‘Forgone Destruction’. The map’s description reads, “Sitting between a large-scale Proelium Reactor and a Supermassive Portal, Foregone Destruction’s original purpose is still unknown. Many worship these ancient remnants, left behind by a mysterious civilization. Identical ruins exist on the planet it was found.” A new 100-level battle pass is also introduced.

Recently, Halo Infinite shared a new milestone for the new release and the overall franchise. In that, 343 Industries shared that Halo Infinite since launch has met more than 20 million players across all platforms it shipped for. You can read the full report by heading here.
