For quite a while now those who’ve been paying attention would know that the remake trilogy for Spyro The Dragon have been in the air to come to the Playstation 4 later this year, but since the initial rumor we haven’t got a solid announcement for the title.
Similar to Crash Bandicoot N’ Sane Trilogy, this Spyro collection would feature the first three titles in the franchise (Spyro The Dragon, Ripto’s Rage, and Year of the Dragon) would come sold in one bundle. And the remaster was to be behind Vicarious Visions, those behind Crash’s remaster.
But with a recent post by IGN news editor Jonathan Dornbush, has received an purple egg in the mail with a note stating “Something’s is about to hatch.” And was signed by ‘Falcon McBob’, who goes by the unverified Twitter handle @SpyroTheDragon
I just got a purple, scaly egg in the mail from “Falcon McBob,” who, on Twitter is the unverified @SpyroTheDragon…
No other info just yet BUT any chance of new Spyro news has me excited. pic.twitter.com/NukRtZrmOK

As for this news it’s still not stable enough evidence to say we’ll be getting the trilogy, but it does get our hopes up. With Crash Bandicoot being received pretty well for reworked classics of Playstation 1 and Spyro would do the same. But if it’s to be just like Crash when officially announced, this Spyro Trilogy will be available first on Playstation 4 first and later on other platforms.
