Almost a month ago, publisher Square Enix announced that alongside the success of the 2017 release for NieR: Automata has exceeded four million sold copies, the company also shared that the series can expect a new experience on mobile devices. Announcing NieR: Reincarnation, Square Enix shared minimal details alongside a vague announcement trailer for the title. The only piece of information that grew attention was that the game would be a free-to-play entry.

Now in an abrupt announcement, the publisher has returned with a minute-long gameplay trailer to showcase more some of NieR: Reincarnation in action. You can watch the trilaer in the video below:

Although the clip does only showcase the protagonist walking through the game’s environment as well as featuring some of the game’s included score, there is not much to expand on. Luckily what was provided does offer a lot more perspective than the pseudo-slideshow that was presented for Reincarnation when initially announced.

What can be derived from the trailer is how ambitious the project is, for mobile at least. The scale of the level is pretty atop of the draw distance that is achieved for the intent of smart phones. Even more, the performance of the game also looks to be topping the traditional 30 frames per second when referencing the movement of the character in the foreground which will surely please fans who are excited to get their hands on the game.

While there is still plenty that fans are unfamiliar with NieR: Reincarnation, the footage shown is does dig up some excitement to say the least. As of reporting, neither developer Applibot nor publisher Square Enix has release when players can expect Reincarnation to arrive to mobile devices.

Last month when Square Enix announced NieR: Reincarnation, the firm also shared that the initial 2010 release for the franchise will be receiving a remaster under the alias ‘NieR: Replicant’ for the west. Are you planning on picking up NieR: Reincarnation whenever the game officially arrives?

NieR: Reincarnation is listed for Android and iOS.
