When Google announced its ambitions to enter the video game industry, many expected the firm to approach the market with its own flavor of a plastic box to sit in the living room. Instead, Stadia was revealed to be a cloud streaming solution which negated the necessity to take up space and simply play titles via its in-house cloud servers across PC, television, and mobile devices.
Since its initial release, the platform has remained undermined compared to its respected counterparts. However, there has been some impressive feats thanks to Stadia. One being the Crowd Play feature which enables players to join games of streamers on YouTube and queue into the next match. Additionally, Google previously was working to incorporate new emphasis on gaming with the Google search engine.
What was not expected was that Google would go on to implement a feature to directly launch Stadia from the search results there. From The Nerf Report Bryant Chappel, Stadia can be found available to open for corresponding games available on its platform when searching through Google.
The feature also works for Amazon's cloud gaming platform @AmazonLuna! Definitely not as seamless, but still faster than downloading, updating, and jumping into a game. pic.twitter.com/JkvQi0ZcYj

It looks like GeForce Now is also included but not every game has this functionality.

FortNite works, however another GFN title Far Cry 6 doesn't offer the functionality. It might be up to the developer. pic.twitter.com/8bJ9B9MlVQ
Not only that, but this also applies to other services offered from competing firms. Yes, this extends to both Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia’s GeForce Now, and Amazon’s Luna too, Chappel shares. Noted, this is limited for the Nvidia service as Chappel tells select games still do not launch with this when being executed through the search engine.
When reflecting on a previous report from Business Insider, it comes as a surprised understanding that Google could be sweeping Stadia under the carpet later on. It is said that the tech giant is already underway with a separate initiative and Stadia, for now, is what remains on Google’s frontlines. You can read the full report by heading here.
