Criterion Games has announced that Star Wars Battlefront II has gone gold, meaning the developer’s work with DICE and Motive on the main game is all done and ready to ship later in November.
Star Wars Battlefront II will feature a new single-player campaign, alongside multiplayer.
Apparently, said campaign will run to around the 5-7 hour mark, making it a good primer for jumping online and hopefully shooting with better aim than your average Stormtrooper. You play as elite Stormtrooper Commander Iden Versio, the leader of an Imperial death squad tasked with wiping out the Rebellion in the wake of the second Death Star’s destruction.
As for the multiplayer, there’ll be a host of new modes to try out, as well as maps and characters cherry-picked from the entire Star Wars cinematic universe, from A New Hope to The Last Jedi. Characters confirmed thus far include Darth Vader, Han Solo, Kylo Ren, Yoda, Rey, Darth Maul and Lando Calrissian.
