Starfield’s launch set a record for the highest single day of new Game Pass Subscriptions

Microsoft hosted an Earnings Call with CEO Satya Nadella at the helm of it and he shared some news regarding one of Xbox’s biggest launches of 2023. Satya stated that Starfield’s launch generated the highest single day of new Xbox Game Pass Subscriptions in the history of the service since it began several years ago.

This doesn’t come as a surprise since Starfield outperformed Mortal Kombat 1 and EA Sports FC 24 in September which have sold a large amount of units across multiple platforms. Within its first few weeks of release, Starfield reached over 10 million players making it the biggest Bethesda Softworks game to release in history.
