This year’s Xbox-centered event X019 really grabbed attention last month with announcements like RGG Studios’ Yakuza series officially debuting on Microsoft’s platform next year. And while that week shared a bevy of exciting news for upcoming additions to Xbox, the week following had some revealing news for current IPs. That being Undead Labs’ State of Decay 2 hitting Steam next year.
Aimed to launch sometime in March, the sequel to the popular open-world, zombie survival is now migrating to another portion of the PC market. The game is already available on PC for Windows 10, but this new reveal will open more opportunity to those who have yet to play this new installment.
Embedded in the announcement post, Undead Labs’ Director of Communications Wonder Russell shares that the upcoming Steam version will support full cross-play between all versions already available. However, more detail is set to come at a later date Russell cites in the post as well.
Noted, this is definitely not the first time Xbox platform-exclusive titles have moved on to Valve’s storefront as we have witnessed with launch titles Ryse: Son of Rome & Dead Rising 3 alongside Studio MDHR’s and Insomniac Games Sunset Overdrive earlier this year.
