Valve Software has released a new update for Steam that will allow you to start recording your games today. The Steam Game Recording is currently in Beta and it’s a built-in system for creating and sharing your gameplay footage. It will also work on any game that is featured on Steam.
Steam Game Recording has four features: Record, Replay, Clip, and Share.
Never miss a moment with Background Recording mode, your gameplay is continuously saved to your preferred drive, never exceeding your specified duration and storage limits. An On-Demand Recording mode with manual start and stop is also available.
The Replay function will allow you to quickly jump back in time to see how things went wrong in your home, like how you died or recall a funny moment. This is accessible in the Steam Overlay for every game.
You can also Clip and edit local footage in the redesigned Recordings & Screenshots Interface then Share them with your friends.
