When closing out 2022, Microsoft was met with one of its most active months for Xbox Game Pass ever. In December, the service welcomed Squanch Games’ High on Life. The first-person, gun-talking title brings a new experience unlike prior games from the studio and quickly became the most-popular third-party title for the subscription. This milestone even overtook Minecraft which is an obstacle not easy to overcome.
Additionally, Justin Roiland spoke on the Xbox Podcast sharing his experience with Xbox Game Pass for the game. “ I ultimately came to the conclusion based off of what I had heard that it is– it’s a value-add. Because essentially, there’s a lot of people that would otherwise not have picked up the game and played it.”
Now entering 2023, many are patiently waiting a new list of titles to be released for Xbox Game Pass. On Tuesday, Microsoft so far revealed one game is primed for the service this year – Stranded Deep. The game received support for Console, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

“Explore underwater and on land as you hunt for supplies to craft the tools, weapons, and shelter you’ll need to stay alive. Stay sharp: hunger, thirst, and exposure conspire against you as you brave treacherous elements and the dangerous creatures of the Pacific,” the overview reads on the official Xbox Store. Stranded Deep also happens to be available on the Extra & Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus as well.
As for Xbox Game Pass in itself, the service is looking to expand its availability. In that, a recent survey revealed that the subscription could incorporate a new cheaper tier for members to gain access to the extensive list of games in its library. You can read the full report by heading here.
