Sub-Zero Triborg is this week’s Mortal Kombat X mobile Character Challenge

Every Thursday, NetherRealm Studios releases a new Character Challenge for Mortal Kombat X mobile. This week, it’s Sub-Zero Triborg.

The first three Towers (if you choose to go in that order) are the usual: Bronze Characters only (I), Silver and Bronze Characters only (II), and Silver Characters only (III). In tower IV, you must have only Martial Artists characters, but you can also have dual team characters such as Dark Emperor Liu Kang (Martial Artist and Netherrealm) and Treacherous Tanya (Martial Artist and Outworld). In Tower V, you must have Scorpion on your team, which means any variation of him such as the regular Silver character Scorpion, Spec Ops Scorpion, Ninjitsu Scorpion, Injustice Scorpion, Kold War Scorpion, Inferno Scorpion, Hellspawn Scorpion, and Hanzo Hasashi Scorpion.

Sub-Zero Triborg’s special features are described as Assimilation Protocol 4.0:

All Triborg Characters (Smoke, Sektor, and Cyrax) gain a support robot to improve any Special Attack with Frostbite. On tag-in, he gains a 5-second ice shield. His teammates have +50% Critical Hit Chance against enemies affected by Freeze.

In other words, regarding the first sentence, all of your Triborg teammates have Frostbite support (you slow down your opponent and drain their Special Power meter) when you use any Special Power attack.

New Cyber Armor if completed in Hard Mode

If you complete the challenge, you will gain Sub-Zero Triborg as your character. If you already have him previously, you’ll gain a tier level. Complete the challenge again in Hard Mode, not only will you gain another tier, but you will also have Cyber Armor as your Armor Equipment.

The SUB-ZERO special ability will not apply to Sub-Zero Triborg

Speaking of Special Equipments, keep in mind that this is not a Sub-Zero Character; it is a specialty, not a Character. The special ability of Sub-Zero’s Ice Daggers Weapon (a chance to convert 50% damage to health on Special Attack 2) will not apply to Sub-Zero Triborg.
