Super Mario Bros. Wonder for Nintendo Switch released on October 20, 2023, and it has become the biggest launch for a Super Mario game ever. Today, Nintendo released its financial results for the last quarter revealing sales figures for the Nintendo Switch and Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.

Nintendo announced that Super Mario Bros. Wonder has sold over 4.3 Million units in its first two weeks of existence for the Switch. It’s now the fastest-selling Super Mario title in history and it was the first new side-scrolling game we’ve seen in the last 11 years.

Nintendo also announced they are working on a live-action The Legend of Zelda film where they’ve partnered with Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc.
