Nintendo released Super Mario Bros. Wonder on October 20, 2023, which competed with Sony’s release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 which broke records for PlayStation receiving over 2.5 million sales in 24 hours. We knew the latest Super Mario game might be one of the best-selling games for Nintendo this year even with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom released earlier in the year.
Nintendo of Europe made the announcement on Twitter that Super Mario Bros. Wonder has become the fastest-selling Super Mario game ever in Europe. It hasn’t been revealed yet what sales look like in North America, but from what we’ve seen, it looks very promising.
On OpenCritic, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is at an average of 92 with a ‘MIGHTY’ rating with 99% of critics recommending the game.
