Super Smash Bros. Melee dropped From EVO 2019

This years Evo 2019 selection show took place on February 26th on their twitch channel. The nine games includes crowd favorite DragonBall FighterZ will be making a return. A brand new entry coming to the tournament is unreleased game called Samurai Showdown. The community noticed that this left room for no more games,leading torunmaent organizer Joey Cuellar thanking the Super smash Bros. Melee community.

Super Smash Bros. Melee will not be making a return to Evo 2019, possibly not returning to Evo in the future as well. In 2013 the community pushed hard for the game to have its deserved spot in the renowned tournament, Evo, which grows in audience and viewership each year. Replacing SSBM in its stead will be Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Viewers can expect to see a great amount of experienced SSBM players entering and fighting newcomers to the series and past veterans.

To watch Evo 2019 takes place August 2nd – August 4th. More melee can be seen and supported through upcoming tournaments such as Full Bloom 5 & CEO 2019.
