Recently, we made a post about Psyonix is awaiting Sony’s approval on cross-play between Xbox and PlayStation for Rocket League. Well IGN has reported that within the next 2 weeks or so that a ‘major’ Rocket League update will be announced .
“As we get closer to the Rocket League Championship Series,” explained vice president Jeremy Dunham to IGN, “around that time [August 6-7] is when we’re going to start promoting our next update – and wait ’til people see it.
“We’ve got something brewing that a lot of people have been asking for in different forms but is also very surprising. It’s going to be interesting, but it’s going to be cool too.”
This update can be anything such as a garage for saved cars, more custom vehicles and custom goal explosions that the community has been asking for. The one thing that will stand out to everyone would be a PS4 and Xbox One cross-play and apparently that is ready to go, but we will have to wait and see.
