As like many announcements that take place during Nintendo Directs, one that really caught fans by surprise was Ninja Theory’s Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Revealing that the 2017 title will be making its way to Nintendo’s platform sometime this Spring.
Now the game’s studio has revealed that the award-winning action-adventure will be dropping on the Nintendo Switch next Thursday.

Nearly a year ago it was revealed that British-based Ninja Theory along with a handful of other developers were acquired by Microsoft at the 2018 Xbox Press Conference. Studios like We Happy Few’s Compulsion Games, Forza Horizon’s Playground Games, and State of Decay’s Undead Labs to be part of the platforms First-Party network, Xbox Games Studios.
Seeing how lenient Microsoft is allowing for Hellblade to be ported to Nintendo’s hybrid handheld console, it leaves the impression if other titles could make their debut on the new platform following this release. As Ninja Theory has developed other projects like DMC: Devil May Cry and Heavenly Sword.
What are your thoughts about Microsoft’s decision to have Hellblade come to the Switch?
