Team Ninja Invites PlayStation 4 Users To Test Waters In Nioh 2 Closed Alpha

Nearly a year ago at last year’s E3, Team Ninja alongside Koei Tecmo revealed the anticipated sequel Nioh 2 with a flashy reveal trailer at Sony’s press conference. But since then not much other detail or information have surfaced as the reveal clocks in at 11 months old, until today that is.

Team Ninja has dropped a new trailer for the anticipated title showing off some gameplay and teasing the soon approaching closed alpha which will be taking place two days from now.

Deprived from the tweet detailing the exclusive playtest, a select handful of PlayStation 4 users will have the opportunity to play the action RPG follow-up title. Sharing that those who participate in the alpha will assist the team to “gather feedback for development.” The closed alpha will kick off on May 24th this Friday leading up to June 2nd next month.

The developer also shared that there are no current plans to extend the closed alpha or for any other playtests in the coming months as of yet. But reassures fans to keep an eye out on their social pages for more information in the near future.

Nioh 2 has no set release date, but is listed for PlayStation 4.
