In the past week, developer Techland remains to be in the spotlight in regards to its coming game, Dying Light 2. The mentioned sequel for those familiar has not been met with an update in well over a year now and fans are beginning to get impatient as to where the game is or when it is scheduled to arrive. Thankfully, the development team told that a developer update will be taking place this week.

Following the presentation’s announcement, Techland did clarify on its behalf the long wait for Dying Light 2. Part of that is because of the well in advance announcement of the game which is the result of a longer than usual gap for its release. “The definition of a dev hell requires the game to not make any development progress, while DL2 keeps moving forward, we announced the game too early,” the team responds to one users in a tweet.

Now on Wednesday, March 17, Techland finally released the developer update and reads some of the nasty comments impatient fans left while in this stretched out wait for Dying Light 2. You can watch the footage in the video below:

However, that is not all that Techland covers in the video. Additionally, Techland also tells that it is not ready to properly showcase new footage for the game just yet, but teases some new snippets from the approaching project. But ultimately the Polish developer asks that its fans be just a little bit more patient until the team is ready to share more.

Also, Techland closes the video to poke at the fact that Dying Light 2 is now aimed to arrive in 2021. However, the developer does not press what platforms the game will be on. So it is not clearly understood if Dying Light 2 will arrive on the promised Xbox One & PlayStation 4 machines or uniquely to the latest iterations alongside PC, of course.

Dying Light 2 is listed for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC with a 2021 release window.
