Developer The Behemoth works at its own pace and when an announcement does come plenty of the industry’s eyes look to what the developer has to say. The most recent example of this was Alien Hominid HD & Alien Hominid Invasion. The first is a return to form with a remaster of the classic Newgrounds game. The latter is a separate run-&-gun follow-up to the same-named classic.
In our review for Alien Hominid Invasion we gave the game a score of 8.5 / 10. “Alien Hominid Invasion is a great sequel to the original providing what feels like unlimited customization, and constant action, but the only thing that holds it back is the lack of variety in levels and how difficult the game can get. Overall, The Behemoth created another classic game providing hours of gameplay and could be considered one of the best co-op games of the year.”
This week, The Behemoth announces it will be stepping into the spotlight with a new showcase coming later this week. The forthcoming Roadmap Stream’ will feature updates from the game studio including current IPs as well as unannounced projects on the way.
“The short broadcast will unveil the first-ever Behemoth Roadmap, created to inform the studio’s fanbase about updates to their current gaming library while looking forward to future title development,” The Behemoth pens in the press release for the announcement. Currently, there is no confirmation if the new announcements will stand as new releases for current properties or something entirely unique.
The press release does indicate that roughly “a handful of unannounced projects will be shared during the online presentation. Over on the official post from The Behemoth X account, the developer went on to note that “a handful of announcements spanning our entire gaming library and beyond!”; indicating it will be a mix of both concurrent & fresh IPs.
