While billboard franchises like Halo, Gears of War, or even Forza was surprisingly missing from the Xbox Series X & Xbox Series S launch, that does not imply no games arrived alongside the system’s release. Instead, Tomas Sala welcomed the next-generation with The Falconeer. Through a one-man project, The Falconeer tasks the player with an adventure of dog fighting through the skies as the title implies – a falcon.
This past March, Tomas Sala introduced a free DLC for The Falconeer, Atun’s Folley. In summary, the add-on welcomes a new setting with raid missions and fresh experiences for more players to continue their playtime with the game. However, fans outside of Xbox are surely in hope that there will be more opportunity for The Falconeer to hit now platforms later on.
And their suspicions are correct as per a finding from Gematsu. Over on multiple storefronts (Amazon Japan, Rakuten) The Falconeer: Warrior Edition is listed for both PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5. Even more, the listings corroborate with a early August release date: listed for Xbox as well.
“Additional content featuring dragons” is referenced from the listing for the new finding. Gematsu cross references the description to be suggesting The Hunter DLC for The Falconeer which launched back in February for $1.99. There has yet to be a confirmation on The Falconeer arriving to either platform yet.
To readers unfamiliar with The Falconeer, we highly suggest you read our full review for the game. Our critic David Rodriguez pens his experience with the game to be “a superb, almost meditative flight experience.” You can read the full report by heading here.
