It was this past Tuesday that Sony Interactive Entertainment teased Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima to be presented later in the week at this year’s Game Awards’ ceremony. Now more than an hour into the show, Sucker Punch takes the stage with the complete trailer presented earlier in the week.

Kicking off from where the teaser kicked off, we learn about how the Ghost came to be through the overcoming struggles of war in Feudal Japan. Upon finishing the rendered encounter, the trailer also shows off some more gameplay of the game as well. You can watch the new trailer below:

Taking advantage of their time on stage, Sucker Punch also presented a full orchestra playing just a sample of the game’s live on stage at the Game Awards. Fun fact: the trailer for Ghost of Tsushima is the longest showing of the show for this year’s awards ceremony.

One prediction made at Rectify Gaming is that the then-upcoming showing would reveal the release date for the 2017 announced title. And while not specifically framing when the game will be arriving, Sucker Punch did reveal that the project will be launching next Summer in 2020. Again, with the limited amount of time left in this console generation, it was expected that the game would arrive sometime after May’s slated timeframe for The Last of US Part II to space the two’s release dates.

Do you plan on picking up Ghost of Tsushima next Summer?

Ghost of Tsushima will be coming to PlayStation 4 in Summer 2020.
