On Monday, Geoff Keighley and The Game Awards announced the nominees for all 31 categories including Game Of The Year which includes Alan Wake 2 and Spider-Man 2. Today, The Game Awards is now available in Fortnite which means you can vote through the game for the first-time ever.

Players will be able to help select The Best Fortnite Island of the Year, based on 10 nominated creator-made islands selected by The Game Awards. Created in partnership with Nighttimes and Studio 574, The Game Awards Vote in Fortnite is a hub world that will let players portal to ten creator-made Islands. Once you finish exploring you’ll be able to vote and see who wins on December 7, 2023.

Geoff Keighley is clearly excited about this opportunity:

“Ever since I hosted Live From Risky Reels in Fortnite in 2019, I’ve been thinking about ways The Game Awards could bring our celebration inside the games we play every day,” said Geoff Keighley, Creator and Host, The Game Awards. “Our Fortnite island is the first experiment in this direction, and I’m particularly excited to help shine the spotlight on the amazing user-generated community around the world.”

Fan voting on the island is limited to one vote per Epic ID and will be active until Wednesday, December 6 at 6 PM PT.
