The Last of Us debuted to the world on Sunday, January 15 across linear and HBO Max and it became the second biggest debut for the platform after ‘House of The Dragon’ since Boardwalk Empire launched in 2010. The show had 4.7 million viewers for just its first episode with a new episode coming every Sunday at 9 PM ET.
The show is based off the video game franchise from Naughty Dog & Neil Druckmann. The last of Us takes place 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed.
The Last of Us on HBO stars Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna, Anna Torv, Nico Parker, Murray Bartlett and Nick Offerman.
