Naughty Dog has officially announced that The Last of Us Part II is finally coming to PlayStation 5 in remastered form already. The sequel to The Last of Us was released in 2020 a few months before the release of the PS5 and just missed it so it came to PlayStation 4 instead.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered will come to PlayStation 5 on January 19, 2024. Naughty Dog says whether you played the game yet or not there will be reasons you’ll want to jump back in. The campaign makes a return with technological improvements, new modes, and new behind-the-scenes features.

One of the new modes coming to the game is No Return, a roguelike survival mode designed to let players prove their mettle in randomized encounters and experience The Last of Us Part II’s combat in a new experience.
In No Return, you’ll be able to choose a variety of playable characters and some will be playable for the first time in The Last of Us franchise.
Another new mode coming to The Last of Us Part II is Guiterr Free Play mode which allows you to strum the strings across a host of unlockable instruments, use audio FX pedals to modulate your performance, and play as different characters.
The remaster will also come with DualSense integration and other graphical improvements.
This news doesn’t come as a surprise since it was teased through a LinkedIn job description a few months ago.
