Microsoft dealt with a large leak in late 2023 where it revealed plans for the upcoming year that included an Xbox Series X Digital Console and a brand new type of Xbox Wireless Controller codenamed ‘Sebile’. This new controller takes some of the features the DualSense currently has like ‘precision haptic feedback’ and a rechargeable and swappable battery.
During the most recent Xbox Era Podcast, Tom Warren from The Verge joined the live chat providing new information regarding Sebile. According to Tom, the new and improved Xbox controller will be released on May 24, 2024, ahead of the Xbox Showcase in June.

Sources close to Rectify Gaming have said that Sebile finished all prototype testing in July – August 2023 and it could have been announced and launched by the end of 2023. Sebile never needed to release at the same time as the Xbox Series X Digital Console codenamed ‘Brooklin’. And the time of those leaked documents, they were already 12-14 months old.
Basically, Microsoft has this new controller ready to go and according to Tom Warren who is a very reliable insider at The Verge, it could come in May.
